Employment Agreement Template

An employment agreement template is a legal document that is signed by the employer and employee before joining the organization. Generally, this agreement explains the terms and conditions of your employment with the company and provides the following information, like starting date of employment, daily working hours, key responsibilities, per hour salary, paid or unpaid holidays, different situations of disputes and termination procedure. This document will not only explain the rights and duties of both parties but will also protect them from future problems. Therefore, it will always be signed by the employer and someone who is hired by the company as a worker on an agreed salary for a certain period like six months or one year. Similarly, from the point of view of an employee, he/she should accept the job offer letter first, then sign this agreement.

What to Includes in an Employments Agreement?

The content of an employment agreement template varies from organization to organization. Normally, it is prepared by the employer or the company who is hiring employees. This means, the employee will only need to read, agree and sign an employment agreement, keeping its legal importance in mind. Moreover, this agreement includes the following important clauses, like salary and perks details, terms of employment, job description, information about the employer, selection criteria for permanent position, signatures of both parties, agreement commencement date, initial probation period, prerequisites of job, workplace rules and regulations.

Importance of Employment Agreement:

An employment agreement format holds a very important worth, not only for employees but also for employers. It defines the relationship between an employee and an employer and how they work together. Moreover, without the presence of this agreement, employees cannot feel job security and employers could face trouble in managing employees. The balance of the workplace depends on mutual respect and understanding of job responsibilities. An employment agreement facilitates both the aspects flawlessly and professionally. In the case of a dispute between an employee and an employer, this agreement plays the third party role and helps them resolve their issues. It provides legal protection for both parties and makes sure everything moves according to the decided terms.
